DOA 5 1080P@60FPS (Enable Firefox HTML5 hardware Video playback)
Ever having problem or high cpu load when play-back "Youtube 4k/60fps video ? than follow this simple guide....*(Firefox user) ,disable any Flash player addon, before starting.
Testing 1080P 60FPS HTML 5 video decode (With hardware graphics acceleration)
1. make sure FireFox "about:config" (text to browser)
media.mediasource.enabled; true
media.mediasource.format-reader; true
media.mediasource.format-reader.webm; true
media.mediasource.mp4.enabled; true
media.mediasource.webm.enabled; true
media.fragmented-mp4.enabled; true
media.fragmented-mp4.exposed; true
media.fragmented-mp4.ffmpeg.enabled; true
media.fragmented-mp4.gmp.enabled; true
media.fragmented-mp4.use-blank-decoder; false
2. make sure FireFox "about:config"
media.gmp-provider.enabled = FALSE --Double click the found entry and it’ll switch itself to "FALSE" (which means disabled OpenH264 decoder).
Restart the Firefox and try Youtube again. It should play super smoothly now…
3. make sure "h264ify" installed on Firefox.....(without it may not work)
if Computer or laptop too old (W/O decent graphics acceleration) you still can try this "For luck) it will lower yours CPU usage when playback Youtube 60FPS/ video.
