DoDonPachi Daiueiku - Normal Mode TLB 1cc - Hyper Type - 422m - ZIG
A rather cool Touhou fangame I was playing a good while ago, the best score I managed to get in the game is a run that scores over 500m just before this run, sadly I couldn't clear in that run; had to give it another attempt until this run. I did add some silly moments of the 500m+ run after the credits though, it's definitely interesting to watch until the end of this video. Needs to be noted that this game got chunky hitboxes, easy to lose chains due to midbosses breaking them and a really fast chaindrop time and last but not least, the artwork for IKD is stolen as far as I know. As always I added a few pictures to the sidebalks. There's something to be said about the replaynames; that is that they automatically save with the name "FUCK YOU" I don't really get why, but it's definitely strange.
It needs to be noted that your chains break rather fast in this game considering they always break after you finish off a midboss. Also needs to be noted that I made the hyperchain route of stage 1; the most I ever got in stage 1 is 720 which is a fairly large amount since I don't know where in the game you can beat this amount. To get the bombs as a stage clear bonus you need to destroy certain enemies or structures, if you do this correctly you get 3 bombs from stage 1 until 3 and 3 bombs from stage 4; 1 bomb from stage 5 and I don't think stage 6 gives any bombs as stage rewards but if you do all of this correctly you'll get stage 5 boss Reimu's second phase and the TLB as well. You just need only 1 bomb from stage 1 for this and not per se all 3 that can be gotten based on how many scructures more than 15 you destroy (20 being max.)
It's kind of funny how Vespiquen (yes, the pokemon) is included in this fangame.. It's a pretty clever reference. Fun to see both DOOM and Hibachi return as midbosses as well.
For your convenience I've added a timeline for the stages and bosses as well as which soundtrack a theme in this game is below, I also added how many times a soundtrack from a game was used! Thanks to Maribel Hearn for giving me the information regarding the soundtracks.
