Pretty solid proof, on the topic of whether Pascal throttles or not. Please listen and pay attention to what I am showing you in the video. I spent multiple weeks and tested five different Pascal cards, before making this video. ***Note: I explain that the camera is used to make sure I, in NO WAY, impede performance of the computer, with my recording. If you really care about how hardware performs, you'll want to see it performing as purely as you can. The people who tell you Shadow Play has no impact on performance are not completely accurate. It has a minimal hit to the frame rate, but it does impact performance. That is why the camera is used, to avoid that. (I do have a video capture device, but that flakes out, when I jump in and out of games or even change graphics settings or make changes to the overclocking software) The camera is the purest way to catch hardware performance.

*Edit: After turning my air conditioner off and having a higher ambient temperature, the 83% fan speed that I talked about ended up allowing the card to go into the 60's a lot more, which lowered the clock speed. (still above 2060Mhz, I think 2076Mhz... I'll have to double check) So ambient temperature still rears its head, with these cards. I'll keep an eye open, the next few days and see how the cooler holds out. My ambient temperature wasn't "that low," at the time of this video. (low to mid 70's) Even though the clock barely went down, and the temp barely went up, I still needed to share the update. While the AC was on, the card stayed steady, with the 83% fan speed, for more than two hours. Again, once ambient temps went up, 83% couldn't keep the card as low as it had.


*Update: I will concede that GPU boost could be "blamed" for what I show in the video, but it is clear that even if GPU Boost is calling the shots, thermals are still playing a role.
