Does the Hawk Ring work with thrown items? - Dark Souls 3 Data
So does the Hawk ring improve the throwing items? Could this lead to the consumable weapon build at last? Or is this a load of useless data? Let's find out!
And many thanks to Bell for the suggestion on the obligatory twitter! It was really interesting/10!
EDIT! IT DOES INCREASE ZOOM, YOU MUST PRESS THE D PAD TO CONTROL THIS!
----WHAT WE LEARNED---
- The thing that Rosaria cradles is in fact not a separate monster, but part of her fat ass. They share the same hitbox.
- The Hawk Ring significantly reduces the damage penalty for long distances.
- It changes the arc that firebombs/urns are thrown in.
- This makes it easier to throw firebombs further at mid ranges when not locked on
- The maximum possible throw distances remains the same. The hawk ring does not effect the maximum range of any thrown item.
- Throwing Knives effective range is pretty small, they despawn about half the distance of a Kukri.
- All charms and alluring Skulls ignore the hawk ring, no boost.
- Dung Pies DO get the boost! GLOBAL SHITSTORM INCOMING!
- Binoculars and bows get DO get additional zoom. I was wrong. Press up on the D-pad. T-thanks from...
- While locked on the Hawk ring ignores it's new bomb arc, and the distance is much to low before damage falloff...
Overall while this is useless the fact they even included this is really cool. Good work Dark Souls 3! I give you D A T A L O R E / out of 10.
