Donkey Kong Bananza co-op mode review. Is it actually fun to play with two players? My wife and I tried the multiplayer mode and it was a huge letdown. We usually love Nintendo co-op games, but this one just didn’t work for us. The second player controls Pauline, but the gameplay is chaotic, overpowered, and clunky (especially with the motion controls). If you're hoping to exclusively play Donkey Kong Bananza in co-op, you might want to reconsider. This game shines in single player, but its local co-op experience is seriously flawed, in our opinion. Watch this before starting your co-op playthrough.
