In PikuNiku, you kick objects onto switches, navigate obstacle courses, sometimes get inconveniently tied together, and occasionally drive around in tiny little cars.
The controls are simple, but the game’s physics make everything feel delightfully clumsy.
You always end up tripping over each other or accidentally kicking one another across the screen - It’s cozy, silly, low stakes chaos.
The puzzles are clever, but relatively straightforward. Most of your focus and brainpower is spent on controlling your character to the best of your ability.
The co-op mode is my favorite aspect of this game, giving you custom levels built specifically for two players. But, the separate single-player campaign is also quite good, if you like to play solo.
