Just because Doom Eternal allows you to unlock both the original 1993 DOOM and DOOM II doesn't mean you should play them, right? Well, I did, and it was actually the first I ever even played them in full, which I had somehow never done. Incidental play of the original, sure, but never the whole thing.
I was quite surprised to find that the design of it mostly holds up even to games today, in particular when you consider that you almost never actually have to fight monster more than you would like to. Aside from bosses, you could do a pacifism run on nightmare difficulty if you really wanted to. But we'll leave that to 'pro' channels. This channel is not one of them.
I do want to say that Mt Erebus is just "why". And the map after that.

So, in this video: all four episodes of the original DOOM, played to completion for the first time thirty years after release, as emulated within Doom Eternal, played with a controller to boot. For brevity, deaths and redo's have been cut, with one mysterious exception for funsies. And Doomguy missing his pet, of course.
