Doom Classic video #18
(9.6.1994)

(Links, secrets and more information at the bottom of the description)

Hello. Bringing you forth the 4th map of Eddie Nguyen's UCA-series for a change.
Wanted some action, because I've been doing a good deal of WoW-classic past 2.5 weeks.

This time we're having tech-themed map with enabling switches in 4 corners of the map to access exit area, which will be a point of no-return, if you let the entrance door shut on you, while you're inside. So, bear that in mind!
Also for progression, we need all keys and once we're done with any of the corner switches, the room will become inaccessible. So make sure that you kill and do, what you have to do inside those rooms.

Difficulty isn't hard in most cases. The start and then tele to RL will most likely be your biggest dangers in the map. Otherwise there aren't really any nasty traps around to get you good.
Compared to previous maps of his, monster count is at more than double, tho!
• Vanilla-mode should have enough things to keep you in good condition. Only the shells might be a bit tight depending on, where you end up going 1st. Cells don't do anything for you in this map, as you don't get a plasma gun.
You might also end up getting chaingun late, if you don't explore the right area fully for it.
That makes you rely on your shotgun & pistol mostly.
• On Hard Doom, the start is spicy and health might not be very plentiful, if you end up getting hit too much. This time we got lucky with gun drops, as I get both Sonic Railgun and Quad Shotgun, making the map much easier. (And saving us a ton of shells too!)
If Sonic Railgun drops, you can use the cells as well!

Level design isn't anything special here.
Blocking the access through corners of the map made it unnecessarily confusing to travel between areas even, if it was most likely meant to mark your progress with those switches, if I had to guess.
Also some monsters appear to be blind and/or deaf towards Doomguy behind certain lines, unless you're within the same room / sector with the specific monster.
Otherwise it's mostly just the average Doom-action that you get out of this one.

All in all, average action. Nothing horrible, but nothing fancy either.
