About Bitter Dream:
BITTER DREAM is a Boom (cl9) mapset with 9 planned maps, consisting of 3 episodes of 3 maps each. This set leans heavily into a cosmic theme with bending realities, foreign worlds, and dark moodiness. BITTER DREAM also includes a fully custom soundtrack, some custom graphics and sounds, and minor gameplay tweaks (detailed below). Gameplay features a mix of exploration with incidental/run and gun combat, and structured setpieces, hopefully offering a decent variety in terms of action and pacing. Each map represents a concept or idea I wanted to experiment with so hopefully they feel fairly distinct from one another while feeling tied together.
