Doom 2 - PISTOL START - MAP 13 -.Downtown
7Another city sector. Very open, with several buildings scattered on the main area. The building on the southwest has several teleporters that lead to many key points on this map, which forces the player to come back to that building time and time again, if one wishes to be throughout.
There aren't that many high level enemies on this map, but the revenants watching the center can be problematic and there are also some aracnotrons patrolling the ground level. There are many items and ammo scattered around (rockets, health supplies, even invulnerability artifacts; perhaps spoils of past battles in this area?).
Getting the rocket launcher early makes things a bit easier, since there isn't a DBS anywhere on this map.
I findi it rather curious that there are a total of four berserk packs to be found on this map. Our hero should keep an eye on his excesses!
I do take some extra time near the end because i couldn't remember where the last secret was. Actually i had triggered the switch early on this run, but didn't enter the actual secret area. I do get there in the end though :)
