Comments:
I can't take the full credit for this route, as I mostly used the same route as j4rio did in his 13:18 demo. I did however make a few optimizations (at least I think, IDK I'm bad at speedrunning) that managed to net me the 38 second difference, the major one being how the first section was handled and when. I chose instead of letting the monsters there infight alongside an arch-vile for a long time to go in and clean them up after getting the first couple of secrets. I also got a good rocket kill on the arch-vile that teleports in with the imps there. After getting the blue armor, I return to fiinsh the cyberdemon. I think this also nets a good amount of extra safety, as it prevents that guy from being an issue when you do the double cyberdemon/megasphere fight. Compared to my first time in the map, this is a HUGE improvment. It also came with relative ease by comparison, as this route is also safer and makes better use of some of the resources, namely the Invulnerability sphere and early access to the plasma gun.
