Doom 64 EX is a version of doom 64 for the pc developed by the same person who worked on Absolution, also a working pc version of the old n64 game.
This version is, however, the one that stays the most true to the original (one thing that i noticed were the lighning storms that can be seen in levels like "terror core" or "eye of the storm" are now present. something that did not happen in the absolution version.
There are also some addded features such as crosshairs and mouse look, among others.

Some words about this specific walkthrough:
This IS NOT a speed run. I merely try to stay alive and make it to the end of each level in one piece.
Every stage is a pistol start. Not sure if Doom 64 was ever intended to be played in this fashion, but i will try to begin each level with the pistol only.
Infighting FTW! Doesn't work on every level, but in most of them, demons of diferent species can harm each other (unintentionally) and then duke it out (with plenty of motivation :)) As a consequence, you will see me taking as much advantage of it as possible, in order to conserve ammo, specially considering the pistol start factor described above. I actually felt that some levels would have been impossible otherwise.
Fast monsters! There is a feature that, if enabled, will acelerate all monsters actions, such as movement speed and attack rate. This can be seen in imp's or hell knights' plasma balls, which travel at increased speed, and is very obvious in the pinkies movement speed and lost souls attack rate, which get absolutely crazy. I felt that it would be an interessing chalenge, specially considering the fact that i am playing with keyboard and mouse.

This part includes three levels:

Level 10 The bleeding - This place has a sickly fell to it with all the red mist and crimson skies. In the end we end up exactly where we started. Curious.
Level 11 Terror Core - Fighting Hellspawn under a thunder storm does feel epic.
Level 12 Altar of pain - This stage is what i like to call a sort of "conquer the fortress" kind of level. The player begins at the bottom and has to work his way to the top. I will notice that i abuse the infighting phenomenon at the beggining. Hope it doesn,t get too boring. This level has a secret exit that leads to level 30, The lair.
