At Doom's Gate played with the 4 MB Sonic Implants General MIDI DLS file (using Winamp's Nullsoft MIDI player 3.07).

The Microsoft GS Synth uses a 3 MB gm.dls file, but alternative DLS banks seem to be extremely rare.

This Sonic Implants DLS's guitars, in this video, have a bizarre volume issue where some notes are played too loud. I'm not sure what the cause is. The SONiVOX (Sonic Implants) 24 MB GS soundfont sounds much better than their DLS bank.

When I converted the DLS to SF2 with Awave Studio, it fixed the volume problem with the guitars' notes. But it also messed up the drum sounds and made them sound like weird "doonk" noises. (This video uses the original unmodified DLS file.)
