100% playthrough of the Ultimate Doom E4M2: Perfect Hatred on Ultra-Violence Difficulty with Fast Monsters enabled (UV-Fast). I pistol start each map, going for 100% Kills & Secrets, with no saves, while doing live commentary.


I feel like I did not explain the BFG strat very well, my apologies. In the small area where the cyberdemon is trapped is a BFG which, normally, you pick up when you tele-frag him. However the area with the blue armor is right next to it and the BFG is placed so close to the wall that you can actually bump against the wall really fast and pick up the BFG. While not particularly difficult, it does require some precision, and I think I was just shocked that I got it on the first try.


I was really having trouble with this level and kept choking at the end (forgeting I had the rocket launcher like a dummy in the failed run I included), so I decided to look at how this level was completed on Nightmare difficulty and found this awesome run by Guiddqd:

I took that strat and ran and it really made all the difference. This level taught me the importance of reviewing other's runs and learning from them, instead of banging my head against the wall and brute forcing it. At first I hated this map, but now I respect it.
