This isn't quite the follow up to Doom 2016 that I was hoping for. Too much of an emphasis on the story and a few questionable decisions, as well as a creative but unbalanced multiplayer mode, leaves this game as a whole feeling worse than its predecessor. Even so, this is still an excellent follow up and easily one of the best first person shooters of this generation.
