Doom Eternal (2020) - The best FPS of all time?
3Id Software founded the FPS genre in the '90s with Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, and Quake, with ultra-fast-paced games where you can take down dozens of enemies with a wide variety of weapons without batting an eyelid. Twenty years later, they decided to return in 2016 with a Doom reboot that's as fast-paced as it is modernized. Building on this success, they released Doom Eternal in 2020, which goes even further: more weapons and tools, more enemies, the formula is more fast-paced than ever, imposing a frenetic pace that I haven't found in any other FPS.
