DOOM Eternal, but every 6 minutes I turn Inverted Look On or Off
Yep, I really did this to myself...
Honestly that Hugo Martin Challenge, where Game Director Hugo Martin wanted players to show their best Inverted gameplay, gave me some crazy ideas, and the craziest one was me switching Inverted On and Off every certain amount of time so I decided to try that for this video.
This challenge was pretty difficult, because it screws your muscle memory for both inverted and non-inverted. At the very least a 6 minute period of using either one was enough time to readjust to either setting and play at my best, but those first few seconds after switching are awful. It mainly throws me off during those really intense fights in the level which is also why there are 3 accidental BFG Misfires here (I swear they were accidental, notice how every time I accidentally fire a BFG I try to switch to the Heavy Cannon after, that's because I wanted to actually switch to Rocket Launcher and not the BFG).
For those wondering when I use Inverted or Non-Inverted, I decided to have Classic Weapon Position turned on for when I have Inverted turned off, and then turn Classic Position off for when I have Inverted turned on. I also made sure to time myself with a stop watch so I'd know when my 6 minutes were up and it was time to switch, but I wasn't very precise as I did get carried away with the carnage at times and go overtime lol.
One last thing, that final fight, was the hardest thing I've had to do in the whole game, especially since I forced myself to use Inverted for that, you'll know when you watch 'till the end.
As always enjoy!
This Gameplay was done using a Standard PS4 Controller on a Regular PS4 Console. To see how I get it done, here's a Handcam video of me playing the Game: https://youtu.be/NlHhTPRoxBs
