i keep forgetting that I have the XBox Game Pass Ulitmate, which means I have access to all the Bethesda games, including the Doom franchise. And THAT includes Doom Eternal which I haven't played recently so I decided to start it up again and see if it was as pretty as the update promised.

it is.

it's also not as hard as the PC version - seriously - I was being annihilated on the pc version on *easy* and was dying with every second step, but "regular" on console sure, I died, but a "normal" amount. I stopped playing Doom Eternal on PC because it was too hard - and it just wasn't fun dying that frequently.

But, unless the game had its difficulty settings tweaked for all versions, I'm going to keep playing on console where it feels more enjoyable.
