The PSX version of doom was the first version of doom that I played. The first first-person shooter game that I played was Disruptor on the PSX. That was a great game. Then it clicked in my head that I should also try Doom on the original PlayStation. I bought it used at my local video game store. I loved it a lot. Fast-paced first-person shooter action with a creepy theme and atmospheric sound. I loved it. When I built my first PC, I made sure to get ultimate doom, doom II and final doom for the pc. Those were great on the pc but the sounds were a major disappointment for me. I missed the atmospheric sounds of the PlayStation version of doom. I never cared for the midi metal music in the original doom games. I think I played the N64 version of doom before the pc version. The N64 version also has some great creepy atmospheric sound to it. I loved the N64 version a lot too.
