One of the best maps in the game. Most of Doom 2’s maps have some gimmick to them, but this is a pretty tightly designed level by comparison. Apparently the rest of the Doom community agrees, as the map’s style was copied by map makers afterwards (Plutonia’s Neurosphere being the most famous).

The map is pretty straightforward. It’s worth going out of your way for the hidden rocket launcher at the beginning though as it’s easy to waste your shotgun and chaingun ammo. The map gives you enough to deal with the Revenant and Archvile pretty reasonably though. Not much to say about it otherwise.

For some reason, there are no secrets in the level, so you’ll get 100% secrets no matter what.
