The next few maps are Doom 2’s “city” maps, and where things get more hit or miss. The Factory isn’t a bad map, just a strange one. The outdoor portion of the map is very plain, with just a few arachnotrons patrolling around, while all of the action happens in the indoor rooms.
This map took me a few attempts because of the aforementioned arachnotrons. While there’s only a few of them, if you aren’t careful they will gang up on you, and chances are you won’t be well prepared to deal with them. The rest of the map isn’t too bad though. There’s a huge mob of imps in one room that will corner you if unprepared, and several mancubi fought in close quarters, but if you approach the rooms in the right order you’ll be fine. The mancubi also stun easily enough where your regular shotgun can prevent them from doing much.
