DOOM II - MAP16: Suburbs (UV, Pistol Start)
Quite literally kicking off the second half of Hell On Earth, this map can be a marine's worst nightmare if certain demons aren't contained or dealt with accordingly. The Arch-Vile at the start can be nothing short of problematic if you try taking him on too early, as there's not enough ammo to bring him down; even before dealing with the Imps.
Like in the PSX version, the SSG is vital to stand a chance early on, but moreso here thanks to both the increased monster count, and in addition to an already seemingly unfair task, the presence of many Arch-Viles which only adds to the problems. Miss one of them, and he'll be rushing around resurrecting your previous victims at every turn, undoing your hard work.
Again, the BFG9000 is an essential tool for an easy ride after snatching the Blue Skullkey, although thanks to the higher monster count here, infighting is not only more effective; it's also far easier to invoke.
