Speedrun of Doom (Kex) - Legacy of Rust - E1M3 - Spirit Drains UV-Max difficulty, played on Xbox One with controller.

After several 20 minute attempts that ended in failure, I decided to take this run pretty safe just to get a completion.

This is an interesting map but quite long. There's no secrets but with 449 enemies it's a tough task without saves. Thankfully, I was able to find quite a few safe strategies that made this map a lot easier.

There's a lot of ammo throughout the map for shotgun and chaingun, but not very many rockets so the majority of the fighting is with chaingun and shotgun. Ideally you want to take down the Arch Viles as soon as possible to minimize the ressurections and help with ammo conservation.

That last battle looks really tough so I was very happy to figure out you can activate the encounter without jumping in the pit. The enemies will infight and when they are thinned out you can drag the remaining enemies out of the way for a safe jump down to finish them off.
