Doom PC Game Review 1/2 - Exploring The Id: id Software History Part 7
In part 7 of Exploring the Id, we review Doom for the PC. Released in 1993, this classic First-Person Shooter PC title changed everything. We look at Doom's original mail-order release, the significance of Doom's multiplayer deathmatch capabilities, Doom's influence on Microsoft, and a couple mods. Things would certainly be different if Doom was done today, but put aside games like Halo and Call of Duty for a moment and see what Doom was all about.
You can download Doom from Steam along with many of the other classic id Software PC games.
