0And so it begins, This special will cover all 21 levels that were included on the 1995 expansion pack, The Master Levels for Doom II, This pack contains levels put together by Tim Willits, Tom Mustaine, Christian Klie, Dr. Sleep (John Anderson), Cranium (Sverre Andre Kverrnmo), and Jim Flynn, Over the years I've seen the master levels get torn apart by Doom players and praised by others in some points, Now it's my turn, I'll be doing these levels NOT by how they are arranged but how I played the levels when I first played them in 2002.
Before you view this special, Please, Remember that is being done through GZDoom, So it may look different vs how you may remember running it, And kicking off this special is "The Catwalk" or Catwalk.Wad by Christian Klie, He's one of two authors along with Cranium who made most of the master levels and some of them are eh... others? Not good at all.
The Catwalk is a example of a wad that uses a name you think the level would be simple but it's a strange hogepodge of rooms and a lot of ammo which is nice but the catwalk struggles to be unique, The Catwalk itself is only near the end so that's somewhat false advertising in my eyes, This isn't the worst level in the master levels but as the first level I did play in this pack, It didn't do much to interest me.
