In case you wanted more cinematic platforming goodness, here is Flashback: The Quest for identity from Delphine Software International in 1992. This game appeared in many places, from DOS, to Amiga, Genesis, Sega CD, 3DO, CD-i, Jaguar, the list keeps going. I would say that this game, along with Prince of Persia and Another World, are the big 3 cinematic platformers that helped influence all the others.

In Flashback, we play as Conrad who has been abducted and held prisoner. Seems we also have amnesia but the one thing we do remember is that we have to escape. And escape we do, however our hovercraft is shot down over some alien jungle. The first thing we stumble upon is a holocube holding a message from ourself. Seems we were on the trail of some secret that has made us a huge target. We must escape the jungle, return to earth, and uncover the conspiracy.
