Today I decided to take my two other chance orbed Aegis Auroras to the double corrupt, locus of corruption temple of atzoatl. On top of trying to make these shields double corrupted, I also decided to double corrupt some awakened empowers. This entire gamble made me feel like I was going to pass out. I had insanely shaky hands and my heart was pounding but I did it anyways. Wait till you see what happens!
For anyone unfamiliar, double corrupting is a process where you attempt to put a double implicit modifier on your item. This has a 1 in 5 chance of happening. Alternatively, it could have corrupted the item with white sockets, corrupted the item and nothing else happens, corrupts the item and changes it to a rare influenced item, or deletes the item entirely. This is an extremely risky thing to do and not a lot of people do it because it is such an expensive loss if you miss.
