Dr. Seuss’ “Green Eggs and Ham” - 2016 Random House Children’s Press Book Review
This is a review of my 2016 Random House Children’s Press copy of the classic 1960 poem by Dr. Seuss entitled “Green Eggs and Ham.” The book has been translated into many languages, including but not limited to, Polish, German, Chinese and Haitian-Creole. There is much more to this book than simply being translated into other languages. This book has taught children, including me, a valuable lesson in trying new things. The lesson applies no matter if it is food, medicine or even just an activity. Anyone can try something new. Besides that, the poem overall just has a nice main idea, conclusion and it even tells a story in the most direct way. I was t really feeling the same about “The Cat in the Hat” since that story was told a bit indirectly, but nowadays modern copies of “The Cat in the Hat” have been improved over the years. Now back to “Green Eggs and Ham.” This poem has had many adaptations including a 1973 CBS cartoon and even a 2019 Netflix original TV Series starring Adam Devine and Michael Douglas as “Sam I Am” and “The Grouchy Guy.” I hope you enjoy the show and have a tasteful summer. 📖🐖🍳💚🐐🚤🏠🐭🦊📦🇵🇱🇭🇹🇨🇳🇩🇪
