So, after getting a cool little montage showing off the new cast of characters that will be helping us out with the Inquisition, it’s now time to do Dragon Age things like talking with our new friends and increase our bonds with everyone. This, in case you didn’t know, has been a big point of BioWare Games (The Mass Effect and Dragon Age Series etc.) and that is Befriending/Pissing off Companions. There usually is some kind of gauge that tells you how friendly a character is towards you and, depending on this level, it can affect the overall storyline (not to mention the Storylines themselves are rather interesting in some cases). I still remember not being friendly enough with one particular character in a previous game and then they turned against me to kill me later down the road and, after winning that fight, he was no longer part of the series. Not sure how dramatic this game is going to be (Can’t remember anything like that major happening but I have a shit memory and I could be making different choices) but it was always interesting to see. They also introduce this Requisition side quest in which you have to collect items/crafting materials scattered throughout the maps in order to gain Power (we’ll get to what that is in a later video) as well as some kind of award (I think it gives some money, but I could be wrong). They are rather interesting from a story point however, within the game, many of them are infinite quests lines that you can’t really finish which is rather annoying for me since I hate having quests left over in my journal, especially ones that tell me to collect metals/plants that are literally five feet away from the camp.
