Axameter is a unique silverite waraxe that you get from a random encounter. I was lucky and I just got it earlier today :D Unfortunately I couldn't trigger the random event to occur again no matter how many times I load my save file. This is a good weapon for a berserker dual weapon warrior especially if you can equip it with The Veshialle axe. Sucks that I got it on my two-hand character lol so I forced Sten to have dual-weapon skills. Here is what I read from the Dragon Age Wikia website:

"During a random encounter, the player is asked to pull an axe, "Axameter," from a stump. If the player is successful, he is declared the future king of Thedas, at which point several other onlookers will declare that to be a stupid method for determining a ruler. This is a reference to the legend of King Arthur, who pulled a sword from a stone, an act which only the true heir to the throne could perform. It is also a reference to Monty Python and the Holy Grail, where finding a sword is decided to be a stupid way to choose a ruler."
