Dragon Ball Z Kakarot Review: The Most Satisfying Dragon Ball Game Yet?
I have loved Dragon ball for as long as I can remember. Even as a child, I would sit in front of the TV every Saturday morning and watch episodes of Dragon Ball Z until my eyes bled. And yes, I also tried firing kamehamehas until my arms started hurting. Like many others, I have yearned for a Dragon Ball game that could make me feel a lot more like Goku and his friends. A game that would draw out my inner Saiyan. And though several Dragon Ball games have been released over the years, like Dragon Ball Xenoverse and Burst limit, none have given me that total satisfaction I was looking for until the release of Dragon Ball Z Kakarot.
Kakarot is an open-world, third-person action/adventure Dragon ball game that follows the story of the entire Dragon Ball Z saga as well as Dragon Ball Super and movies. It was first released in January 2020 but has now gotten a Next Gen upgrade which was released on the 13th of this month for the PS 5. Unfortunately, the Xbox series X/S remaster has been delayed till further notice, huge bummer, I know.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot has had a decent critical reception, scoring 73 percent on Metacritic and 7 out of 10 on IGN and Gamespot. Some gamers, still feel Kakarot is boring and overhyped. And while they might have a point, I feel like those gamers may need to be thrown into the Dead Zone. Having played 30 hours of the game and its DLCs already, here is my review of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.
