Dragon Blade is a mediocre Hack and Slash game published by D3 Publisher and developed by Land Ho in 2007. The story starts with a great fire dragon named Valthorian that participated in an old war, favoring humans and leading them to victory against the opposition. Angered by this choice, five other dragons plotted against the fire dragon and corrupted the minds of the six humans closest to the fire dragon. Fearing for their lives, they decide to take down the fire dragon before it's too late. Incapable of harming those that he's come to love, the fire dragon succumbs to the human's wrath and its soul is stored into different orbs which adorn the legendary "Dragon Blade", and the blade is scattered throughout the land.

Many years later, a young man named Dal has dreams about wielding a lengendary blade made of flames to fight evil with, until one day his dreams would become a reality when monsters invade his backwater village. He hears the voice of the dragon spirit, Valthorian, who tells him how to use the handle of the legendary Dragon Blade, and grants him the power to defeat the monsters, though he is too little too late. Dal's home is destroyed and the monsters have slain the woman he loved. Now out to get revenge and to help Valthorian become whole again, he sets out on a journey to recover the other parts of the blade. Along the way, Valthorian will encounter the other dragons that plotted against him as well as the corrupted humans who betrayed him. The plot is noted for being written by Richard A. Knaak , writer of the "Dragonlance" novels.

The game is criticized for its bland visuals, weak plot, and poor controls. While I can handle the not so amazing visuals and fairly generic narrative of the game, I have to admit that the controls kinda suck. The game does not register your motions the way it should. I had to practically crank my system sensitivity to the max as well as the in-game wiimote sensitivity to get a half-decent response from the hero, and when enemies attack you with lightning quick swiftness, you just have to call bull on the game. Otherwise, it's a pretty decent game with several levels broken into stages, a few neat abilities you can gain by defeating bosses, and an okay soundtrack. This is a video of the game in action. Enjoy.
