Dragon Quest IX Commentary #097, Wormwood Creek; Exploring Eastern Wormwood
This is video #097 in my playthrough of Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies. This video contains commentary. To view the non-commentary version, click here: http://youtu.be/_0KYfFwPrwI
Heorot has explored the xenophobic village of Wormwood Creek. The mayor has demanded that Heorot attend the meeting at the church at night, so Heorot visits the inn and rests until evening.
At night, the party heads to the church (time 3:20). They chat with the villagers and learning something about the dragon, not to mention an unpleasant-sounding empire. Then, they chat with the mayor himself to start the meeting (time 5:28). They seem to find Heorot's story hard to swallow. In fact, they are downright uncharitable. Wallace is the only one who speaks up for Heorot, but then he runs off. And just like that, Heorot is asked to leave the village.
After the meeting, the party learns that Wallace ran off to Hope Springs northeast of the village (time 11:16).
So, the time has come to explore Eastern Wormwood (time 11:48). By the southwestern beach, the party can farm for Crimson Coral (time 12:51).
The exit directly west of Wormwood Creek leads to the Wormwood Canyon area (time 16:41). In the rocky northern area, the party may be able to farm for Brighten Rocks (time 18:18).
Back in Eastern Wormwood, there is a lake along the northern side of Wormwood Canyon. Here, the party can farm for Belle Caps (time 18:42).
Afterwards, the party crosses to the eastern side of Eastern Wormwood. Atop a hill in the eastern corner, they can farm for Superior Medicine (time 20:39).
On the eastern side of the northern lake, the party will find Hope Springs. Before that, however, they can wrap around the northern side of the lake. On the southwestern side of the lake, they can farm for Sleeping Hibiscus (time 23:48).
While here, Debora reaches Armamentalist Level 33 and earns 6 Skill Points (time 24:25).
Finally, they head for Hope Springs.
Thanks for watching!
