Previously, Ruff gained the ability to speak. The party unlocked the fifth region of the game through the upper-right Blue Pedestal and reached the town of Frobisher. Now, they have a town to explore!

In a storehouse west of the item shop, the party finds Red Fragment 4 on the floor (time 1:53). Too easy! The surrounding barrels contain a Seed of Strength, 15 gold, and a Medicinal Herb.

In the garrison in the southeast, a barrel contains Mini Medal #006 (time 7:11).

At the equipment shop in the east, the party picks up Boomerangs for Davilas and Ruff and Iron Lances for Davilas and Kiefer. There is some new armour that is decent in terms of raw defence, but I don't think I'll sweat it.

In the northern storehouse, a pot contains 10 gold (time 12:04). The nearby chest contains a Leather Armour. Couldn't it be Iron Armour, game?

Downstairs below the church in the northwest, the party finds Captain Goodwinding in the stronghold (time 13:58). The captain is just concluding a briefing with his soldiers. After this, he will be on his way back to Faraday Castle. He wonders if the party is a group of mercenaries. This may not be a bad idea.

In an area out the southern door from the stronghold, a barrel contains 3 Gold (time 20:01). We don't want to miss this valuable cache, do we?

Now, the party has to follow Captain Goodwinding to Faraday Castle. So, they leave Frobisher (time 20:34). The road to the south leads to the southwestern part of the area (time 20:49).

Following the road southwest, they arrive at Faraday Castle (time 21:08). Somber castle music plays here, and the party cannot currently enter the main door of the keep.

In the southeast guard tower, a chest of drawers contains a Leather Shield (time 26:49).

Then, the party talks to the soldier standing in the middle of the room (time 27:15). They agree to sign on as mercenaries. They will also have to demonstrate their prowess in battle. He brings them before another soldier to test them.

The party must fight the Drill Sergeant (time 28:18). The Drill Sergeant is susceptible to Maribel's Sap. If Davilas is Level 12, healing will be a cinch with Midheal.

Another scene takes place after the battle (time 30:02). The soldier that hired them tells them to introduce themselves to the king. Good show. This is certainly more tolerable than the trials at Arkbolt in DQ6.

Now that the party has become mercenaries, the guards at the entrance to the main keep will admit them (time 34:18).

On the second floor, in the western room, each bookshelf contains a confusing volume of 'The Analects of Confuseus' (time 37:09).

On the second floor of the southeast guard tower, a pot contains a Seed of Strength (time 38:50).

In the northwest part of the first floor, a pot contains Mini Medal #007 (time 43:42).

In the east of the first floor, the party can gain access to the king's secret shelter (time 47:02).

In the secret basement, the chest contains a Seed of Resilience (time 47:43). There is 5 gold in one of the pots.

After raiding the castle, the party leaves Faraday Castle (time 49:02). Back in Frobisher, they save (time 50:22).

Next time, they will introduce themselves to King Faraday. They will also begin their efforts to free Faraday from the automaton menace.
