Akira Toriyama - the legendary artist who created the Dragonball series and the character art for Dragon Quest AND Chrono Trigger - passed away at the age of 68. So to celebrate a man who heavily influenced my childhood and also adulthood, let's play some Dragon Quest 8!
Dragon Quest VIII for the PlayStation 2 is a top tier game, and we're PLAYING IT for Widescreen Wednesday! A close friend of mine got me this game as a gift back in like 2006 or something, and I literally skipped school to play it at one point. It's been years since I've touched this one, but it's special to me, and I'd like to share it with all my GREAT friends on THE INTERNET!
I loved the Dragon Warrior games for the NES as a child - and that's what the series was called in North America before they changed back to Dragon Quest for I think the 7th game. In fact I had a great time live streaming Dragon Warrior and Dragon Warrior IV a few years ago, so I'm super excited to get back into this series.
