Davilas is currently carrying out the Version 2.2 storyline. Previously, he began Quest 349: Treasure of the Desert. He has just arrived at the True Pyramid to seek out a flame stone and some desert treasure.

Davilas has just entered the Pyramid. First, at D-5 on the first floor, he studies the lithograph (time 0:34). From it, he learns the gesture Sun Dance. This allows him to dance like an Egyptian! I love the DQ series.

First, Davilas goes down the trap door at B-4 to level B1 (time 2:10).

Then, he goes up the northeast stairway at G-1 to the first floor (time 2:54).

At B-1, he takes the northwest stairway up to the second floor (time 3:36).

Then, at D-6, he uses the Sun Dance to open up the southern door (time 4:27). Within the small room beyond, he must examine a coffin in the southeast of the room (time 5:47). This gets rid of a seal on a door on the third floor.

Back out in the hallway, Davilas goes south through the corridor just to the west at D-6 (time 6:51). Following the path, he goes inside on the third floor (time 7:04).

Davilas examines the door at D-5 (time 7:14). With a manipulation of a switch, the pinnacle of the Pyramid rotates. Anlucia arrives, and then so does King Muunisu. As the sun comes in, the king uses the mirror to reflect it onto the door. A device turns, and the door opens! The king and his people rush through.

In the chamber beyond, they find another stone flame (time 9:49). Then, the spider on the king reveals itself and grows to a large size. Ew! This is Gejura.

After the scene, Anlucia joins Davilas and his party to battle against Gejura (time 11:50). Gejura will emit a poisonous vapor. Stick close to Anlucia during this, as she will use the barrier that she learned during Quest 346. Gejura also spits thread that inflicts paralysis, and he shoots thorns that deplete a large fraction of HP from the party. As if that weren't enough, he has Disruptive Wave.

Note that you can use ranged attacks and magic from the safety of Anlucia's barrier.

Another scene occurs after Gejura has been defeated (time 20:58). Anlucia lights up the flame stone. King Muunisu seems a little disappointed until one of his guards notices something engraved on one of the walls. There is something interesting about the Shiny Melons growing at the base of the stone. Are these fruits really 500 years old? Wow. As the king leaves, Anlucia asks Davilas to report back to King Muunisu in Arahagiiro.

After the scene, Davilas zooms back to True Arahagiiro (time 25:24).

On the third floor of Arahagiiro Castle, Davilas reports to King Muunisu in the throne room (time 26:39). He seems pleased with his Shiny Melon. He rewards Davilas with a Jade Key. Quest 349 complete! The Pendulum of Destiny is powered up again.

After the scenes, Davilas reaches Minstrel Level 86 (time 28:07). He gains 1 skill point, which he puts into Staves for a total of 97.

Afterwards, Davilas carries out some commerce and rests before signing off. Next time, he will get started on Quest 350.
