Davilas has gotten up to Level 8 in the fields north of Eteene village and procured the best equipment at the village shop, such as it is. Now, he will head to the northern cave with his brother Talint and the young mage Shini.

On the way to the northern cave, he grabs a Magic Water from the blue chest (time 2:29).

To the north, the entrance to the northern cave is guarded by a Golem (time 4:32). Watch out when it starts psyching up.

A brief scene occurs as the party enters the northern cave (time 5:48).

Afterwards, it is time for a little spelunking. The enemies to look out for are the Walking Corpses, especially if there are more than one in the party.

Shortly after entering, Davilas reaches Level 9 (time 9:03).

In the first open chamber, there is a good-sized cave drawing to examine (time 10:36). It appears to depict some calamity.

A few short minutes later, Davilas reaches Level 10, hitting the level cap for the prologue (time 13:23).

In the northwest room, a blue chest contains Magic Water (time 16:14). Nice!

Along the northern hall, there are cave drawings about each of the five playable races: Wedi, Dwarves, Elves, Pukuripo, and Ogres (time 16:32).

In the far eastern hall, there are two more cave drawings (time 19:48). One seems to be about a dragon, the other about humans.

After a little preparation, Davilas examines the northern door, resulting in a scene with Shini (time 22:46). They find their goal, but a freaky monster with bad teeth comes along and complicates things.

After the scene, it will be time to face Bedora in battle (time 25:16). This demon roller is fairly simple. However, he does have an AOE that hits multiple enemies in front of him. This is a good battle to practice pushing the enemy away from your party members. Your sibling will be especially squishy.

At the end of the battle, Bedora is defeated, but in his death throes he complicates the situation (time 26:59). Fortunately, thanks to Talint's sharp eyes, Shini is able to get what he is looking for.

After the scene, it is time to head back for the village (time 31:27). The "Riremito" spell learned at Level 7 can take your character directly out of the cave, or you can just walk out. There are no monsters.

Once outside the cave, it may become apparent that something is not quite right (time 33:15).

A scene will occur as the party heads south towards the village (time 34:04).

After a long walk, the party will arrive in Eteene village (time 37:00). Things are not going well here. Something strange happens to Talint. Then, Davilas has the distinct displeasure of meeting the game's villain, Nelgel. Nelgel's actions are not good for the people of Eteene village.

The aftermath of Nelgel's visit is tragic (time 41:36).

Afterwards, the spirit of Davilas appears in some temple with statues of each of the five races (time 42:39). A heavenly voice speaks to him. Then, it is time to choose his race (time 44:05). The choices are Wedi, Dwarf, Elf, Pukuripo, or Ogre. I will chose the Elf race (time 44:20). Afterwards, it is time to customize the character. After adjusting the character's physical characteristics, the starting vocation can be chosen (time 46:31). In order, the vocations are Warrior, Priest, Mage, Martial Artist, Thief, and Minstrel. Davilas will go as a Minstrel to start out with. Once this has been chosen, a book appears before him.

Then, you can go online and register your character on the Dragon Quest 10 character server (time 48:58). Obviously, my account is set up, since I already have a character. You can adjust the character name if you wish. If all is successful, the character will be created in the same slot number as it was in offline mode.
