Dragon's Dogma - These Hidden Effects Turn You Into A POWERHOUSE
Dragon's Dogma lacks a proper Fistfighting Brawler Class, but with these hidden effects we can finally explore powerful unarmed combat. Showcase is on Hard mode with the World Difficulty mod.
The first effect can be found on these Bitterblack Gauntlets:
Gauntlets of Shadow, Gauntlets of Oblivion, Sinner's Gauntlets and Hellfire Gauntlets.
It says in the description that it "Boosts the power of normal and magick shields."
These gauntlets doubles damage from all shield and magick shield skills, as well as increasing damage reflected on Perfect Blocks.
The second effect is found when using the Bloody Knuckles:
This ring doubles unarmed combat damage, but it continues to function if the secondary weapon remains equipped. This only works for normal shields and magick shields or bows does not recieve the bonus. Because the Bonus Enhancements for the Gauntlets can double shield damage, when using the Gauntlets together with two Bloody Knuckles it is now possible to achieve eight times damage increase from shield attacks.
These skills recieve the 8x unarmed/shield damage boost:
▸ Cymbal Onslaught
▸ Shield Storm
▸ Sheltered Assault
To make combat more fun, you can install this mod for invisible daggers to make it look like you are punching and kicking:
