Rie Tanaka (田中理恵, Tanaka Rie) voices the main antagonist, One, in the 2013 JRPG, Drakengard 3, known as Drag-On Dragoon 3 (ドラッグオンドラグーン3) in Japan. Four different branches, or routes, are present in the game: A, B, C, D. Zero is the protagonist. In Branches A and C, One is the final boss. In Branch B, Two is the final boss. In Branch D, One is the penultimate boss. The final boss is that...(in)famous rhythm game. A fifth branch, E, is told by the male One in a narrative in the 2014 novel Drag-On Dragoon 3 Story Side, written by Jun Eshima (映島巡, Eshima Jun), under the supervision of Drakengard / NieR mastermind Yoko Taro (横尾太郎, Yokoo Tarō). The novel was released after the Japanese and international releases of the Drakengard 3 game in 2013. Branch E is said to lead directly to the first of the three Drakengard games, Drakengard, which then directly leads to NieR, which then directly leads to NieR:Automata.
