As a level 70 blue mage, you can solo a number of levels 50-60 dungeons, trials, and raids to learn spells you neglected to learn earlier. Here I show, for example, that you can solo the 8-man Heavensward level 53 MSQ trial Thok ast Thok (Hard) to learn Surpanakha, even with bad gameplay.

My character wore nothing special, just level 70 (ilevel 400) augmented Scaeven armor and accessories for casters you can get at Rhalgr's Reach in exchange for Allagan tomestones of poetics.

I had earlier soloed the level 60 dungeon Pharos Sirius (Hard) to learn Aetherial Mimicry.

But I had not thought to mimic a tank (or a DPS or a healer) since then when soloing instances to learn more spells.

It probably would have made soloing them easier.

Also, I had neglected to include Song of Torment, a dot, in earlier instances. It probably would have made soloing them easier and faster.
