Dream Cycle Early Access - Procedurally Generated Dishonored?
4A new game from the creator of Lara Croft! It's got Dishonored vibes, and it's supposedly got an infinite number of levels! Kind of a weird name, Dream Cycle, but gameplay is king so let's jump in and see!
The game starts off with some major horror game vibes, but not long after you'll see the makings of a game similar to what Arkane Studios makes, but with less roleplaying. It's got swords, bows, guns and magic all in one game! The action and tutorial could use some polish, but it's in early access and only just released so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. The potential for fun is huge, and I look forward to more development towards what Dream Cycle is calling an infinite adventure! With Deathloop coming soon, I'll have to see if this procedurally generated adventure can keep up with the looping roguelike shooter vibe I'm getting from Deathloop.
As I play through the beginnings of Dream Cycle, I give my impressions as I go through the game. This is my first time laying eyes on Dream Cycle, and I didn't even watch the trailer so this will be a very blind first impressions video. It will sort of be like a let's play of the first hour of gameplay while I give some thoughts and opinions on what Dream Cycle feels like to play in Dream Cycle's early access state.
