Dream Diary (Gameboy) Free Horror Pixel Art Point and Click Adventure Game
This is a very good looking pixelart horror game for the GameBoy Color that would also run on the real hardware, I really like that people make adventure games on the gameboy. The graphics have a really cool horror vibe with the few dark colors used and the very expressive faces with a few pixels. And all the zombies and monsters add a lot to the horror feel as well of course. Exploring an abandoned lone building somewhere in the middle of nowhere is always a good idea when there are monsters around. Cool mood all in all but the game is too short, I wish it was longer.
Sadly there is no music to the game but gameboy sound effects. Those are creepy as well, but more in an unintentional way...
Controlling an adventure game with a D-Pad or even WASD on an emulator is painful, but it can be done. Maybe cycling through the hotspots per screen would be better... There are no real puzzles in the game, it is all about atmosphere and progressing the story.
