Dreamworks Animations’ “Shrek” - DVD Comparison
This is a comparison between the original 2001 2-Disc Special Edition and the 2003 Reissue of Dreamworks Animations’ “Shrek.” I personally own the 2003 Reissue, which contains only one disc, however when I was at my local library a few days ago, I stumbled upon a real piece of treasure - the pot of gold at the end of my rainbow that was the 2
original 2001 2-Disc edition of Dreamworks Animations’ Classic film, “Shrek.” I knew that I already had the film of DVD, but I decided to check this one out to see if there were any differences between the two copies. The 2001 edition has more bonus features spread across the 2 discs, while the 2003 DVD only has a handful carried over from the original release in 2001. Disc 1 of the 2-Disc DVD has the Fullscreen version of the film, which is on the DVD that I personally own from 2003, while Disc 2 is presented in its original theatrical widescreen aspect ratio. The covers are also different, with the 2001 DVD having the full artwork and an itsy-bitsy Dreamworks Home Entertainment Logo, while the 2003 DVD has a frame surrounding the artwork. Either way, both DVDs are great, and I hope you can enjoy them as well. NOTE: Soundtrack on Dreamworks Records. 🫏🧌👑🤴💚
