0This is a review of the 2008 DVD of Universal Pictures’ “Mama Mia: The Movie.” This is the 5th highest grossing film of 2008 and my favorite movie based off of a musical. The film stars Meryl Streep, Julie Walters, Christine Baranski, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Amanda Seyfried, and Stellan Skarsgard. This film is a jukebox musical featuring all of the ABBA songs you know and love by Sweden’s number one super group. The plot follows a young woman named Sophie, who has just one wish to make her wedding on the Greek Island perfect, to have her father walk her down the aisle. Now, she just needs to find out who he is. I hope you enjoy the show and enjoy the best musical movie of all-time.
