Dredge Review | An Exemplary Exercise in Theming
4Dredge is a game that I've been wanting to play ever since I was made aware of it, but I was busy prioritizing other games. While I was aware of the reputation that Dredge has, and the general idea of the game as a whole, I made sure to avoid learning too much about it since I intended to play it. Even knowing as much as I did going in, I was still very impressed with the game's ability to establish and maintain its theme and atmosphere. Beyond the fishing and eldritch elements is, in my opinion, an excellent example of how to marry the theme of a work to every element that makes up the whole. Dredge is definitely a game that deserves any and all praise that it receives.
