Drilling Through Sand and Enemies In This 2D Action Adventure | Mole Maiden Demo Gameplay
2Hello everyone! This is a demo that wasn't part of the Steam Next Fest, but I still wanted to give it a try. This is Mole Maiden, a game that I am not really sure what genre should be classified into. It is a 2D action platformer for sure, but I had read it was a boss rush and a metroidvania, but it looks like it is not, so I am a bit confused. Anyways, the basic gimmick is that you go through the stage by drilling through sand and fight by using your drills. Combat felt bland and platforming awkward. There were also a few bugs and lack of explanation about a few mechanics. Maybe it is just me wanting something more fast-paced in terms of combat, but I couldn't really enjoy this one.
