Q: Why do you use the chase cam?
A: I've been an avid racing fan for years, I guess you could say I've grown up with the classic chase view in video games. I feel most comfortable in this view, although I sometimes use cockpit view if it's available, for immersion.
Q: You smashed into some opponents when racing, why?
A: I do not intentionally do this. I consider myself a clean driver aiming for precise movement and careful positioning. I try to hold the racing line and ovetake when a gap appears. Unfortunately, due to the aggressive nature of the AI in this game I sometimes cannot avoid an impact.
Q: So does the online work now?
A: Yes, the online connectivity has progressively improved since launch and is currently stable enough to play.
Q: Will I like this game?
A: If you enjoy racing games and are in any way interested in cars, get this game. It is pure petrolhead heaven (although not without its faults).
Q: What faults?
A: The game has enough events to keep you occupied for a while, but if you're gifted at racing games you can expect to finish the single player fairly quickly. Also at the time of publishing this video, the online portion of the game is sporadic and unstable, particularly with connecting to lobbies and syncing with other players. It's hard to get into an online race, but it seems fine once it begins. The good news is the online has become increasingly stable with each passing day, so it should be fixed soon.
Q: Is the game hard?
A: Yes.. and no. The game has great mechanics that, when used to, provide a very satisfying and dynamic feel, so you shouldn't have problems racing per say. The challenge itself comes from the aggressive and sometimes barbaric moves from the AI opponents. They will defend and hold their racing line with little regards to you or your movement, and will happily ram you should you get in their way. Of course this should be seen as a positive, as no one likes an easy race! It is by no means broken, however.
