DRM or Digital Rights Management is the use of technology to control and manage access to copyrighted material.

We’ve had a lot of questions about DRM and Modifications to your cabinets PCB Boards Software. Mainly I’ve seen people asking Is DRM important, and do they need it?
Well, maybe, if you wish to always have access to all of the Standard Options that come with your cabinet as it is designed, then yes DRM is very important to you, and I would never recommend Modifying your cabinet in such a case. Doing so could easily block some of the updates, features or have other unknown side effects.
I Personally plan on voiding my warranty shortly after I get home. I’m not a big gamer, but I do like to tinker and modify things. Because of this DRM isn’t really important to me, and I’m not planning to use my PCB boards.
No one can tell you what you should or how you should mod your Cabinet. Simply put if the DRM is important to you then I would not recommend any modifications at all. After all it’s very easy to leave the unit as stock and enjoy it as it is. But if you have busy hands, and like to tinker, know a little about MAME, Android, and emulators, and the DRM isn’t a deal breaker for you then by all means have fun.
I do wish to offer two other items of information. It looks as if you only need to install the TMNT.APK, and you don’t need the turtle.APK. Obviously the turtle.apk isn’t going to hurt anything, as you see me installing it in the mod video, so if you’ve installed it don’t worry.
I also want to help people find the same TMNT.APK file, but I’ll not link directly to it, so I figured I could give you the CRC number to the TMNT.APK that I’m using in this mod.
The CRC number is 695c6b39.
If you’d like to check your CRC and Verify that you have the right one then try the link to the on-line tool in the description.
