Traditionally, in videogames, water is the enemy's terrain, and the player has to keep out of it. The classic "water is a bottomless pit / death plane". Instant drowning. Or, the player can swim around on the surface but there's a timer shark / border patrol shark that acts as a looming threat. Or, enemies can pop in and out of the water to harass the player.
Today we'll turn that relationship on its head. We're going to thrive both in water and on land, and the enemies will have to contend with us.
Afterwards, we'll have some spare time for me to guess who made which entry, and I will immediately indicate that I forgot what our crew of active architects is these days. If the author isn't someone I remember, maybe it's Someone Else.
