Dual Universe – Orbital Delivery Challenge
A video showing my way to complete the Orbital Delivery Challenge to get some extra in game credits. This challenge is a linear activity so you can only complete delivers in the specific order set out by NQ, which is neither good or bad since this adds variety when taking into account the other challenges.
The total time for completion is about 14 minutes and 10 seconds.
I feel like I should justify my flight plan for going from atmosphere into space since its not a direct straight line. The reason for this is the NQ ships are not strictly speaking space ships since they have engines in only one direction (two in some lucky examples), which essentially makes them rockets or rocket ships if you prefer. This means they need to flown largely the same way a rocket works (not my ship types to fly). Also, these rocket ships do not have the umph for an actual rocket so you cannot just point directly up and go to space, instead you have to fly close to the atmosphere and when you are almost directly under your destination you need to pull up. This allows you to reach space using the velocity from the atmospheric wings etc. and then the space engines start allowing for space flight.
It is also worth mentioning that I prefer to use the cruise control flight mode since its easier to control any ship when a computer is controlling the speed. However, this mode will slow down the ship if the fall off is excessive, due to the lack of engines in more than one direction, this can cause issues getting to your destination. I personally would prefer if the braking did not happen unless the ship is actually going backwards since that would make this easier to fly. If this happens you have to point the ship nose up (away from the gravity of the planet) to start going forward again and then bring the nose down again. You can see in this video I have mostly managed to avoid this issue.
When all three challenges are completed every day, you can earn about 800K for roughly 45 minutes of effort. Its not perfect but it is something to get you going (or keep you going).
